Japan, full of surprices.Japan, land of many surprises. my parents took me to japan (9 years ago)to attend my brother graduation..the plane touched down at Narita airport in the morning..my brother was there waiting for us..after our arrival, he took us to ride on the light monorail..i remembered the monorail was packed with ppl to get to work, it was packed like satin, it was so crowded, that we hardly can move an inch.. oh boy! what an experience, the workers, their only mean of transportation to go to work.. the first thing i look forward to, was to see the ladies wearing the kimono, but to my surprise! not a single lady wore kimono, can u imagine that?? its JAPAN!!..and another surprise was, the guys wore coat & necktie standing beside the tall table putting the bowl of noodle sipping so hurriedly.. not a single chair can be seen, bcoz its in the lobby ..do u know why?? my brother said the stall is too small that it can only put up a few small tables & chairs..the noodle seller can't afford to rent a big place, coz of high rental..Tokyo is the most expensive city in the world...so they put high table for them to put the bowl on the table in the lobby for the guys with coat & tie standing to have their breakfast..they look soooo....pathetic..Japan, the so call the richest country in S.E.Asia.. the place we visited were Tokyo Disneyland, we went there by bullet train, very fast indeed.. the next day our stop were Hill resort for skiing, it was early April, so the snow was yet to be melted, and it was my very first time seeing snow, from the hill top to the ground, it was covered with snow, we also visited the Aquarium, i think the S'pore's Aquarium is better... NHK television station, we were allow to watch the acting from behind a very big glass panel.. after whole day spending at the hill resort, we retired to our room to take a short rest b4 dinner, meanwhile, i went to have my bath that was share amongst the quests there..when i enter the bath room, to my horror, there ain't any lock to secure the door, so,i quickly took 3 wooden scoops of hot spring water onto my body..it took me less then 4 second to finish up and put on my kimono. i think i broke the world record ...lolsss...mind u, i was in my teen then and feel shy if someone was to bugled in, seeing me in the nude..the next day going back to our hotel, put all the bags down and off we go shopping...it was weekend, one of the street was closed to traffic for the youngsters to mingle around in group, chatting and puffing the cigarette away...i saw some gals & guys as young as 14, smoking..and throwing the butts on the road, u can see the cigarette butts all over the place..the sight was unbelievable, it was like a carpet of cigarette butts...i'm not exaggerating..on the 10th day, we left the land of cherry blossom with a heavy heart. Along d way, we passing by a lake call Zhuchenji (spelling??) lake which already freezed that time. When i was in Hirosaki (northern part of Honsyu Island), i visited an old palace. there. we use d map and tour whole outskirt town for 12 hrs on foot. lols. it was cold esp on our feet & fingers, thus, we walk to keep warm. the palace surrounded by man-made canal & inside, all the plants, etc were very nice, beautiful & serene with some blooming flowers. In d end, we visited apple (ringo) farm, but mostly already harvested. when we go to d office, few fellas having meeting but my fren, a gal knock & ask them if they sell d apples. not many left, but few bif size fuji apples were in d plastic bags. they came out & we say using hand language + bit of japanese (basing on translation book) saying we're from M'sia, asking if they're selling d apples. Japan, land of many surprises. my parents took me to japan (9 years ago)to attend my brother graduation..the plane touched down at Narita airport in the morning..my brother was there waiting for us..after our arrival, he took us to ride on the light monorail..i remembered the monorail was packed with ppl to get to work, it was packed like satin, it was so crowded, that we hardly can move an inch.. oh boy! what an experience, the workers, their only mean of transportation to go to work.. the first thing i look forward to, was to see the ladies wearing the kimono, but to my surprise! not a single lady wore kimono, can u imagine that?? its JAPAN!!..and another surprise was, the guys wore coat & necktie standing beside the tall table putting the bowl of noodle sipping so hurriedly.. not a single chair can be seen, bcoz its in the lobby  ..do u know why?? my brother said the stall is too small that it can only put up a few small tables & chairs..the noodle seller can't afford to rent a big place, coz of high rental..Tokyo is the most expensive city in the world...so they put high table for them to put the bowl on the table in the lobby for the guys with coat & tie standing to have their breakfast..they look soooo....pathetic..Japan, the so call the richest country in S.E.Asia.. the place we visited were Tokyo Disneyland, we went there by bullet train, very fast indeed.. the next day our stop were Hill resort for skiing, it was early April, so the snow was yet to be melted, and it was my very first time seeing snow, from the hill top to the ground, it was covered with snow, we also visited the Aquarium, i think the S'pore's Aquarium is better... NHK television station, we were allow to watch the acting from behind a very big glass panel.. after whole day spending at the hill resort, we retired to our room to take a short rest b4 dinner, meanwhile, i went to have my bath that was share amongst the quests there..when i enter the bath room, to my horror, there ain't any  lock to secure the door, so,i quickly took 3 wooden scoops of hot spring water onto my body..it took me less then 4 second to finish up and put on my kimono. i think i broke the world record ...lolsss...mind u, i was in my teen then and feel shy if someone was to bugled in, seeing me in the nude..the next day going back to our hotel, put all the bags down and off we go shopping...it was weekend, one of the street was closed to traffic for the youngsters to mingle around in group, chatting and puffing the cigarette away...i saw some gals & guys as young as 14, smoking..and throwing the butts on the road, u can see the cigarette butts all over the place..the sight was unbelievable, it was like a carpet of cigarette butts...i'm not exaggerating..on the 10th day, we left the land of cherry blossom with a heavy heart. From Narita to Ueno stn (Tokyo), usually ppl take Narita express, a kind of direct express train like out current ERL, took ~ 1 hr 15 mins. u hv a reserved seat unless u r taking local train which are a bit slower (but still much faster than trains in M'sia), but will be crowded due to much cheaper, but have few stops. easting on d narrowed restaurants or noodle stalls is an experience. u pay thru machine & using the receipt to claim d noodle & eat while standing or putting d bowl on the tall long table, without chairs. there're ppl or single traveller, stay at the station, renting the "coffin type room". u slot into something like "pigeon hole" look alike. it's cheaper & for sleeping only. in most hot spa or "onsen", there're many types, some separate btwn guys & gals, Previously i hear there're mixed de. i've been to 1 & every1 is naked, dipping on d hot water from the underground volcanic water. every1 is given a small "good morning towel" to wet & put on top of d head, instead of hiding d crucial parts. ;P		Jerry156 PCM's activity & Winter@Neuhaus, Austria Knowledge is NOT power, only POTENTIAL Power...

kusing, Japan is a nice & clean place la, but due to too many foreigners in certain place, esp Ueno, it become a bit dirty. but most of their train stn are very clean de. d place Annie said many youngsters hangout is maybe Shinjuku, a more "punky" area. i've been to underground strip show in Japan to open d eyes & looksee2, but nvr been to night club. most of the nite, having dinner with Japanese & drink2 nia. ;P Annie, yeah, i've been to Japan several times, from north Aomori down to almost south in Fukuoka. but nvr been to Hokkaido island yet, which will b d only part in Japan i wish to go, during winter. ;p if u stay in d hotel, did u notice that the bathroom are 1 pc or unit de, which is installed into d small room? ;p yeah, i join d spa, with all d naked fellas. initially felt shy, but dun care la, after all, nothing inferior compare to them, wahahaha. Jerry, since u visited Japan 4 times, did u view the imperial palace, actually u can't see the inside of the palace, coz of the very high wall around the palace.we just went there to have a peek..how about the Museum, and the temple, it hang 2 very big lanterns in front of the entrant...and u said u like to visit Hokkaido?? as far as i know, it's a fishing village, i don't see there is any attraction there.		anniecheong Bubblegum

Annie, i've been to some temples & also palace. the temple i went to seems to be few hours drive from Tokyo & is d most famous & old d temple, with many very old trees. can't remember the name. Along d way, we passing by a lake call Zhuchenji (spelling??) lake which already freezed that time. When i was in Hirosaki (northern part of Honsyu Island), i visited an old palace. there. we use d map and tour whole outskirt town for 12 hrs on foot. lols. it was cold esp on our feet & fingers, thus, we walk to keep warm. the palace surrounded by man-made canal & inside, all the plants, etc were very nice, beautiful & serene with some blooming flowers. In d end, we visited apple (ringo) farm, but mostly already harvested. when we go to d office, few fellas having meeting but my fren, a gal knock & ask them if they sell d apples. not many left, but few bif size fuji apples were in d plastic bags. they came out & we say using hand language + bit of japanese (basing on translation book) saying we're from M'sia, asking if they're selling d apples. In d end, they give us 2 big bags free. feeling paiseh, we snap some pictures with them. on d way back, i hv to carry d 2 heavy bag, but quite happy. laughing all the way back to d hotel, coz reminding how we create d drama, wanna buy & sumore taking picture with them to cover our "paiseh-ness", lols for the next 2 weeks there, everyday, "yak" those apples which was so sweet & huge. lols		Jerry156 PCM's activity & Winter@Neuhaus, Austria Knowledge is NOT power, only POTENTIAL Power...

Annie, yea. it's further up from Chiangmai. i visit d Golden Triangle & then cross border went into Myanmar. yes, i've been to the long neck Karen tribe village in Myanmar. in Chiangmai, i visited another tribe, see poppy tree/flower farm & marijuana trees. ;P.
