Go on .. live a little! minglim, FYI, i did just that (climb tree).. with your encouragement..lols... that day while strolling in my compound, i saw the mangoes hanging on the twist which r ridden, so i took a pole with has a small net with hook tied onto it to pluck the mangoes, but alas, the pole is not long enough to reach it..and i was craving for the fruits, coz of it juiciness and sweetness (Thai variety).. among all type of mangoes, this type is the best, if i may say so myself..quess what!! i took the ladder and up i climb the tree, after so many years didn't do it..hahahaa..while climbing, it bring back sweet and frighten memory of yester day..frighten, coz i was chased by a big dog.. when i was up there, i tried to pluck the mango with one hand and the other hand grasping onto a branch..when i was about to pluck it, i saw my dad coming back..he get down from the car, walk toward the tree asking me to get down.. dad:   girl, get down from the tree.. me:  alright, just let me pluck it first.. dad: no! u get down this very moment, u hear me! so, i obediently get down from the tree..sigh... dad: where is your mum? me:  she is at aunty janet's house.. dad:  manjung again? me:  i kept quite.. at this moment, my mum came home... mum: (talking to my dad) why today u came home so early.. dad:  (talking to my mum) where had u being? mum:  i'm was in janet's house.. dad:   playing manjung!!??.. mum:  yes... dad:  do u know??!!!! your girl was climbing tree..what if she felt down?? and u will not here!! my dad was so mad, my mum just  kept quite not dare to utter a word.. i felt sorry for my mum,(scolding from my dad) she is always the victim of my naughtiness..my dad never scold me one..BUT, very cheong hei (long winded)..lecture me non stop..hahahaaa... i can't blame my dad for not letting me climb tree, he has his reason for that..it likes that, a few years ago, my dad friend's son was paralyze due to felling off the tree, so, on that day onward, my dad forbidden me to climb tree..i love my dad & mum..they r my life..YES!! Jerry, like u said, not all trees need to climb in order to pluck the fruits, but mine is not grafted but grow from seed..so the tree is BIG & TALL..u dig?? btw, the longan tree, bear any longan yet?? my dad drink XO when u r still a baby.. saying olong tea color macam XO jugak..r u implying my dad cannot differentiate XO from Olong?? silly u..		anniecheong Bubblegum
